'Blindspot' Season 2 Premiere, Spoilers: Who Lives And Comes Back For Jane? Hunt For Shepherd Is On!

"Blindspot" Season 2 is set to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. on NBC. The show will kick off the network's new season as one of its top-rating returning series. When the series comes back, Jane's life might be on the line as someone from her past is out to get her. The hunt for is also on for Shepherd, the leader of the extremist group where Jane was a former member.

Yahoo confirmed the date of the "Blindspot" Season 2 premiere via an NBC press release. The network chose the show to open its 2016-2017 season because of its good standing with advertisers.

"Blindspot" Season 2 has yet to resume filming with the actors, but the writers are already back in at work. Spoiler TV reports some of the story ideas for the upcoming season will have Jane's life threatened as she will be "shot by Cade." It should be recalled that the character was pivotal to "Blindspot" Season 1 as it provided more background story to who Jane was before she became an FBI asset.

Viewers may remember that Cade was also part of the extremist group, but he was booted out of the team by Jane. She believed she killed Cade in the episode "Older Cutthroat Canyon," which aired on March 28 in "Blindspot" Season 1. But Cade actually survived his encounter with Jane, per TV Guide. It's curious to know why he's back for Jane, considering he almost didn't make it the last time.

Meanwhile, Spoiler TV also reports that Jane will be hunting for Shepherd in "Blindspot" Season 2. When the show ended its last season, the name surfaced as the person behind the plan to destroy the world, as Parent Herald previously reported.

Producers have hinted that Jane's agenda for Season 2 would be to stop Shepherd's evil plans. The show has yet to reveal who will play the character, but Shepherd is supposedly someone the team nor Jane has not encountered yet.
