‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Meets ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2:’ First Set Photos Of Tom Holland & Zendaya Arrive

Filming of "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" has recently wrapped up at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Filling the production's shoes is another offering from Marvel Studios, "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

"Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol.2" director James Gunn commemorated the movie wrapping up as Tom Holland arrived on set to begin production on "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Gunn shared a photo of himself on Facebook with the latest actor to don the Web Slinger's costume. And what's special about it is the snapshot also featured Chris Pratt, who plays as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in his own Marvel superhero flick.

Set photos of the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" cast has already leaked on the internet. The pictures featured Holland, Zendaya as the female lead Michelle and Tony Revolori as Manuel. Check out the photos below.

Holland, 20, also shared a snapshot on Instagram teasing his role as the new Peter Parker. His portrayal first appeared in April's "Captain America: Civil War" that pit Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) against each other.

Directed by Jon Watts, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will also star Downey, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi, Laura Harrier, Donald Glover, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and J.J. Totah. Another recent addition is comedian Hannibal Buress, Variety reported.

Keaton will reportedly play as the film's big baddie, while Marshall-Green will serve as his partner-in-crime. Unofficial reports claimed that The Vulture will be Spider-Man's main foe in the upcoming film, and that's probably Keaton's role, Cinema Blend reported.

Marshall-Green could play as The Tinkerer, presumably to help The Vulture build a flight suit made from leftover Chitauri technology from the Battle of New York in 2012's "The Avengers." However, these are all assumptions for now and official word is yet to be had.

Stan Lee, meanwhile, only has nice things to say about Holland's portrayal of Spider-Man. He said that the young actor is "wonderful" and it's as if they "created a living being to be Spider-Man, and it turned out to be him," Comic Book Movie reported.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will bow in theaters on July 7, 2017. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," meanwhile, will be released a few months earlier, on May 5, 2017.
