It did not come as a surprise anymore as the epic episode 9 of the "Game of Thrones" season 6 became the highest rated TV series episode of all time. It broke the record of the "Ozymandias" episode of "Breaking Bad".
The episode shown just last Sunday and has received a perfect 10/10 rating by more than 75,000 users of IMDB. As to why it topped Breaking Bad's "Ozymandias" episode, is because the number Game of Thrones got more or less 5,000 number of voter difference from Breaking Bad' the difference was pointed out by Reddit.
What's more impressive is that "Battle of the Bastards," got that many votes in less than three days as compared to "Ozymandias" who got the same rating in a span of almost three years since it first aidred on AMC way back in September of 2013. Thus the current episode of "Game of Thrones" received a declaration being the best episode of HBO series yet.
As for the fans comments on social media, many would agree that it's hard for them to pick between these two shows as both are the best.
Tech Insider recalled, "Ozymandias" being the episode where Hank, Walter's DEA brother in law died. Prior to that, it was also the episode where Walter admitted to his former student Jesse how he watched his girlfriend die leaving her to choke on her own vomit. Walter and his wife Skylar also had a fight in this episode, with Hank kidnapping their baby and leaving her in a safe place, a fire station. It was where the transformation of Walt from being a school teacher to being a drug lord was made complete.
"Ozymandias" was also well written, as it was so emotionally charged, while the HBO's series Game of Thrones is a fantasy that is cinematically huge. Both episodes of the shows are tough rivals.
As to whether you may like one form the other, may actually excercise your better sense of judgement. For what it's worth, it's still impressive how "Battle of the Bastards" overtook "Ozymandias's" throne as being the best rated IMDB episode in television history!
