NBC would soon be featuring its brand new TV series "Midnight, Texas" with another fan favorite joining its cast: Jason Lewis. The former fashion model-turned-actor would be starring alongside Dylan Bruce, Arielle Kebbel, Sarah Ramos, Yul Vazquez, Sean Bridgers, Francois Arnaud, Parisa Fitz-Henley and Peter Mensah, according to The Inquisitr.
"True Blood" book series' author Charlaine Harris, tells the story of "Midnight, Texas" as a different kind of American town that harbors dark stories of its own. The town is also set to be the safest place for vampires, psychics, witches, hitmen, and other supernatural beings to live in.
"Midnight, Texas" is also described as a town with a long history of its residents taking matters on their own hands, and has a deep, dark, unknown secret. Slightly similar to the vampire community seen in "True Blood", the town folk actually knew of their existence.
Jason Lewis is set to portray a tattoo artist with supernatural powers in "Midnight, Texas." His character would also be thriving on strong, moral beliefs as he's secretly an angel in the new fantasy drama.
Playing Joe Strong in "Midnight, Texas," Lewis is also with a husband and their pet dog. However, Lewis is a straight guy in real life. Yet, he doesn't seem to mind the new role.
Aside from "Midnight, Texas," Jason Lewis currently stars as a recurring cast member for freshman drama "Animal Kingdom" on TNT, according to a related Deadline post. He would also be in "Half Magic" with Heather Graham (who also directs the movie), Chris D'Elia, Molly Shannon, and Thomas Lennon, as well as in "Running Wild" with Sharon Stone. Both films are to be released this year.
Meanwhile, Monica Owusu-Breen reportedly wrote the pilot episode for "Midnight, Texas" while Niels Oplev served as director. Both of them are in collaboration with producer David Janollari for Universal TV.
