Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi Divorce: ‘Scandal’ Actress’ Eating Disorder Caused Tension For The Couple?

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have been facing divorce and breakup rumors since they tied the knot in 2008. A recent report claims that the "Scandal" actress' eating disorder and her refusal to get help for her condition has caused tension in her marriage with "The Ellen Show" host.

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres recently stepped out hand-in-hand, as they walked the red carpet for the premiere of "Finding Dory" amidst divorce rumors surrounding the couple. The couple has been plagued by countless breakup rumors since the beginning of their relationship, but DeGeneres and de Rossi proved that their relationship has withstood the test of time.

A recent report from Radar Online suggests that DeGeneres and de Rossi had a quite rocky relationship in the past and were even close to calling their marriage off. An insider told the publication that de Rossi refused to open up about her issues with eating disorder.

"They used to fight over the fact that Portia was resistant to getting help," an insider said.

However, the source detailed that DeGeneres and de Rossi were able to strengthen their relationship after overcoming the obstacles in their relationship. Now, de Rossi is said to be in her best "physical and emotional state" and the couple is already stronger than ever.

An earlier report also suggested that DeGeneres and de Rossi were fighting nonstop over having children. However, in an interview with Sunday Style, the 58-year-old talk show host admitted that she and de Rossi agreed not to have any children, reports MailOnline.

Ellen DeGeneres said that having children entails a lot of commitment and that can be pretty hard to do so in their industry. Portia De Rossi also shared the same sentiments and the couple admits that they do not regret their decision.
