"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 is set to return on The CW on Monday, October 17, at 9 p.m. A lot of changes will take place for its upcoming season that might include a new job for Rogelio, a new baby for Jane, and a new title for the show. Below is what you need to know about the series on its third season so far.
'Jane the Virgin' New Name
Show producer Jennie Snyder Urman has confirmed that Jane is definitely no longer a virgin in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. However, don't expect fireworks in the episode as the producer said Jane losing her virginity is only "a small cornerstone of our heroine's evolution," per Entertainment Tonight. The producer doesn't want any pressure for Jane's first time.
In planning this, "Jane the Virgin" might also have a new name for Season 3. The word "the virgin" in the title will have to be crossed out in the title cards.
'Jane the Virgin' New Baby
In the finale episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, viewers saw Michael, Jane's new husband, getting shot. Not to worry though, the character will survive in Season 3, which might explain Jane losing her virginity. Will this end up with the couple having a new baby?
The potential is there, but Jennie Snyder Urman hints that Michael's relationship with Jane could change due to trauma from the incident. This season is when the couple will realize the reality of their situation as they undergo a "growing up" phase.
'Jane the Virgin' New Job
Deadline reports that Jane's dad, Rogelio, will also hurdle through another crossroad in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. His telenovela "The Passions of Santos" is headed for America and Rogelio would like to land the lead part on that as well.
While only a supporting character in the series, Rogelio's storylines is vital to the show. His life is about escapism, but the show uses this theme to expound on real issues that're happening in the world, according to Jennie Snyder Urman.
