"Limitless" fans should not give up just yet! As the cancelled CBS show may have its second season on Netflix.
When CBS announced that "Limitless" will not have its season 2, fans were mostly surprised since the TV show had a great start. It debuted high which signified that it would have a second season. Surprisingly though, its ratings dropped significantly after months that caused the cancellation of "Limitless."
Fans are quick to react though as they still want to see Brian and the rest of his FBI friends on "Limitless" Season 2. Executive producer Craig Sweeny also had his disappointments as he has already made plans on how he will take the show. However, he did admit that because the lead character Brian has now revealed the dangerous effects of the NZT drug to the FBI, it seems that his time with them is over.
Craig Sweeny, however, did admit that there is still a bright future for Brian (Jake McDorman) and there are still a lot of fundamentals for Season 1 that can be explored for "Limitless" Season 2. So could this mean that "Limitless" is not over yet?
"So, we're going to make some changes to the show, but it will remain essentially - we do find a way for it to be Brian taking the NZT working with Rebecca and Boyle and a couple new members on the team, solving crimes and having fun a week-to-week basis," Sweeny said. "So despite the current state of things at the end of "Finale: Part One!" at the end of the season, we are in a different place, but not as radically different as it feels like we're in right now."
At the end of "Limitless" Season 1, Craig Sweeny expressed his interest for "Limitless" Season 2. However, CBS is still not responding whether "Limitless" will still have a second season.
Netflix on the other hand, has taken "Limitless" Season 1. Will they take on the responsibility of creating "Limitless" Season 2?
