"Red Dead Redemption" fans are certainly not giving up the possibility that "RDR 2" may still be unveiled before the year 2016 ends. As a matter of fact, fans see some glimmer of hope for "Red Dead Redemption 2" when Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive recently confirmed that it will be gracing the 2016 Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany in August, Game-Debate reveals.

Even though the publisher didn't blatantly confirm the possibility for a "Red Dead Redemption" game reveal, some fans took the announcement as a hint that there's a big chance that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive may unveil the game sequel. However, fans should also remember that the publisher has a lot of games to flaunt at the event, including its "Bioshock" collection, "Mafia 3" and "Civilization VI."

Despite the fact that Take-Two Interactive will be making its presence at Gamescom next month, Rockstar Games is reportedly skipping the event, squashing the possibility for "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveal. Speaking at the company's Fiscal Year 2016 earnings call, Zelnick is confident that the company will gain more profits due to their "robust development plan." Slatoff also adds that the company has a "very good visibility" into its pipeline.

"Looking ahead, we expect to grow Non-GAAP revenues and earnings in fiscal 2018, based on our robust development plan that extends well beyond the current fiscal year," Zelnick said. "Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon."
