The currently closed alpha test for "Battlefield 1" is coming to an end. But fret not, gamers, as this actually signals the next exciting move from its developers and publisher since the much-awaited open beta test is coming next. When will this take place and what can gamers expect once this happens?
'Battlefield 1' Closed Alpha End, Open Beta Begins
Electronic Arts' (EA) executive Dan Mitre confirmed via a Twitter post that the "Battlefield 1" closed alpha test phase will be ending on Monday, July 18. The said effort was initiated a few weeks ago to a select set of players. It allowed EA and DICE to make a few changes and fix the bugs within the game based on the tester's feedback.
Now, "Battlefield 1" is set to move on to its next phase of testing with the open beta, with more players participating this time around. Parent Herald previously reported on the open beta qualifications, which will be chosen at random among those who have signed up for inclusion.
WCCF Tech reports that DICE has confirmed the beta phase will begin after Gamescon. The said event happens in Germany from Aug. 17 to Aug. 21 and those in attendance could also receive a 3-day early access to the open beta for "Battlefield 1." The early access also includes rewards and other in-game exclusives.
