If you haven't caught up, there is still plenty of time to watch "Stranger Things" as it is accessible in all of Netflix's territories. If you've seen it, you might be curious as to what the next season will bring. Read on for spoilers and hints.
'Stranger Things' Season 2 Spoiler: Is Eleven Alive?
Central to the story of "Stranger Things" is the mysterious character of Eleven (Millie Brown). She is the girl who arrived in Hawkins out of nowhere and demonstrated her psychokinesis abilities to newfound friends Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin).
Eleven sacrificed herself at the end of "Stranger Things" Season 1 to save her friends from the Demogorgon, the evil creature that kidnaps humans and lives in the Upside Down (alternate world). But it's also hinted that Eleven could still be alive since police chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) was seen leaving food in the forest. It is assumed that this is for Eleven, who could be inhabiting the other world.
Bustle suggests, her backstory could be further explored in "Stranger Things" Season 2, especially since her mother, who has been looking for her for 12 years, was introduced in an earlier episode. Then there's the matter with the magnetic door to the Upside Down, which remains a threat to humans in the real world. Eleven could be instrumental in closing this door with finality.
'Stranger Things' Season 2 Spoiler: What Will Happen To Will?
Though Will (Noah Schnapp) was finally recovered by his Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper from the Upside Down, it was revealed that the kid is not fine upon his return to the real world. "The idea is he's escaped this nightmare place, but has he really?" said Ross Duffer, one of the show's creator, via Express.
Ross further said that there will be consequences to Will being kidnapped and trapped in the Upside Down for a week. Its effects will be explored in "Stranger Things" Season 2. Netflix has yet to official confirm "Stranger Things" for Season 2, but given the raves around it, this decision is already a done deal. Watch an 8-minute teaser to "Stranger Things" below.
