'Jane The Virgin' Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers & News: Xo's Abortion And Potential Marriage To Rogelio Happening? What To Know

When "Jane the Virgin" ended its second season, Xo learned she's pregnant with a baby she didn't really want and with a man she really didn't know and love. In "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, the character will undergo a tremendous growth process that could lead to an abortion, a marriage to Rogelio, or perhaps both. Here's what viewers need to know.

'Jane The Virgin' Season 3: Xiomara's Abortion

At the end of last season, executive producer Jennie Urman indicated that Xiomara's abortion might be tackled in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. While this hasn't been specifically stated, she implied that the pregnancy won't necessary lead to a baby, per TV Line.

Urman reiterated this statement in The Hollywood Reporter when discussing Xiomara's storyline in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. "She doesn't want to have a baby so that's definitely going to be something that we dive into," the producer said. Viewers should expect Xiomara's heavy plot to be touched in "Jane the Virgin's" trademark process. It will be light-hearted, but sensitive.

'Jane The Virgin' Andrea Navedo Talks Xiomara And Rogelio

Meanwhile, the actress playing Xiomara on "Jane the Virgin" revealed that her character will be going through a growth. "I think that Xiomara is going to start to make more strides in the future in terms of maturity and in terms of just growing as a person," Andrea Navedo said, per Cosmopolitan.

She also stated that she is rooting for Xo and Rogelio all the way and it helps that she has amazing chemistry with Jaime Camil (Rogelio). Could Xo's self-exposition and maturity eventually lead to marriage to Rogelio in the near future? Andrea said that the decision on their characters rely on Jennie Urman, but she believes Xo and Rogelio are meant to be together. Only right now, the breakup is necessary so that Xo and Rogelio will really know what they want.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 returns on Monday, Oct. 17 at 9:00 p.m. on The CW.
