‘America’s Next Top Model’ Cycle 23 Latest News & Updates: VH1 Announces New Host, Judges And Tyra Banks’ Surprise Appearances

Earlier this year, Tyra Banks made an announcement that "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 will be revamped in its new home network, VH1. That's why, avid "ANTM" fans are getting more curious and excited for what the hit modelling competition reality show has to offer this season.

As VH1 gears up for the upcoming premiere of "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23, the network has finally dropped some details about the show's "fierce-a-fied" rebirth. Even though the network has yet to announce the exact air date of the show, it recently announced (or better yet) confirmed its new host and set of judges.

'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 23 New Host And Tyra Banks' Appearances

It has been previously reported that British singer-actress Rita Ora will be replacing "ANTM" creator, producer and original host Tyra Banks as the new presenter for "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23. Now, VH1 has officially confirmed the rumors that Ora is indeed the shows new host.

Despite not being a host anymore, Tyra Banks will still be a part of "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23. Aside from being the show's executive producer, she is set to make surprise appearances in the upcoming season.

'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 23 Judges

Aside from confirming the rumors that Rita Ora is the new "ANTM host," the network also revealed "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 panel of judges. According to Entertainment Weekly, plus-sized model Ashley Graham, celebrity stylist Law Roach (who has worked with Ariana Grande, Zendaya and Celine Dion) and Paper magazine's chief creative officer Drew Elliot have been named as the show's judges.

Tyra Banks, on the other hand, will remain as "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 executive producer. As VH1 announced, Banks will also be joined by Ken Mok as the show's EP.

'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 23 New Concept

Since "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 aims to have a "fierce-a-fied rebirth," the show will reportedly take on a new concept. The said new concept will include a weekly pop culture challenge.

"While there never will be a Tyra replacement, what we wanted to do was really infuse that panel with style fashion and pop culture experts," VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy said, USA Today quoted. "[With Ora and the new panel of judges] together they collectively have the power of what is driving fashion and pop culture today."

In a phone interview, Tyra Banks explained that the changes in the upcoming "ANTM" season mirrored the evolution of the modelling competition. The 42-year-old supermodel also stressed that "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 is not only looking for successful models but also a "social media star."

"It's no longer just about having the highest cheekbones and best pout and the best hair," Banks explained, as per Entertainment Tonight. "My goal is to really get into these girls' heads that I'm not looking for some successful model and I'm not looking for some social-media star. I'm looking for both. I'm looking for a hybrid, because that's where the world is."

'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 23 Air Date And Timeslot

Meanwhile, VH1 has yet to announce the exact air date and timeslot of "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23. But TV Series Finale revealed that the show is set to premiere this fall of 2016.
