Formula One (F1) legendary racer Michael Schumacher's health remains unknown as his family remains to be private regarding his real status following the 2013 incident when he hit his head while skiing. The former Ferrari boss said in a recent statement that Schumacher is now showing signs of recovery amid reports that the family's wealth is now depleting due to the medical expenses for the racer.

According to reports, the seven-time F1 world champion's family has been emotionally and financially drained as they hope for Schumacher to recover from the skiing accident. Luca Di Montezemolo, the former Ferrari boss, said in a recent statement that the strength and determination of Schumacher to get better has helped his family and the specialized treatment procedures to work on him.

The 47-year-old is reportedly under a full-time rehabilitation staff at his family's home in Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Accordingly, not only his family is emotional over his accident as he reportedly cries silently whenever he hears his wife and children, Christian Daily reported.

His weekly treatment reportedly costs up to $140,000. 15 medical experts are also reportedly working on Schumacher.

Despite reports that Schumacher's wife, Corina, has sold their luxurious jet, vacation home, and other cars of the legendary F1 racer, many have pointed out that his net worth is around $800 million so it is possible that money is not a problem for the family.
