‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Rumors, Latest News & Updates: No Hope For Grand ‘RDR 2’ Reveal? Rockstar Games Hints For Unexpected Announcement

For sure most if not all "Red Dead Redemption" fans are familiar with the phrase, "expect the unexpected." Well, this set of words is probably Rockstar Games' response if they're ask about an official release date for its new game. That's why "Red Dead Redemption 2" should not set their hopes too high for any "RDR 2" reveal anytime soon.

Even though there has been a scarcity on the details for the rumored release of the highly anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2" game, it didn't stop the avid "RDR" fans to hope for the game's reveal at the 2016 Gamescom Expo in Cologne, Germany this month. Sadly, only Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, will be present at the event, Parent Herald previously reported.

So, does it mean that there are no possibilities for a "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveal soon? According to The Bitbag, it's best for fans not to hope for any grand announcement since there are "signs" suggesting that Rockstar Games has a penchant for a low-profile announcement.

As a matter of fact, the online news site claimed that Rockstar Games won't announce and unveil "Red Dead Redemption 2" in other upcoming gaming expos such as PAX and the Tokyo Games Show (TGS). The reason? Rockstar Games often make announcements unexpectedly, not to mention the fact that the game developer has no history with event reveals.

In addition, the publication also pointed out the original "Red Dead Redemption" was unexpectedly announced in 2009. But the good news, avid "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans won't be waiting for a gaming convention as Rockstar may announce the much-awaited game title any day, month or year.

Meanwhile, Ecumenical News revealed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" may already be under development as leaks from the game have been circulating. Other speculations also include two new characters, who will embark on a treasure hunt and the possible release date will be sometime in 2017.
