The ninth installment of one of the most popular fighting games in the world, "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" is set to be rereleased in 2017. With brand new trailers, gameplay, and new character reveals already shown to the public, fans are now wondering if "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" will be available for online cross-platform play.
For the first time in the "Tekken" series, "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" will be made available on the PC by download from Steam. This will definitely increase the number of "Tekken" gamers around the world, since the previous releases from the franchise was only available for Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
In a recent tweet from "Tekken 7" developer Michael Murray, he responded to a fan's question whether the game will allow cross-platform play, he says in the tweet "Please ask Sony. MS already publicly said they're interested in cross platform."
The benefit of allowing cross-platform for "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" is the increase in online traffic for the fighting game. "Tekken" players would be able to battle each other across different platforms in the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
There also plenty of other surprises from "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution". Alongside the return of fan favorite characters, there will be eight new fighters that are going to be featured in "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution." One of them being Street Fighter universe's resident antagonist, Akuma, and the other character making his "Tekken" debut is Master Raven, the supposed boss of the game's ninja-spy, Raven, among others, according to N4BB.
Developers of the game are also working hard on the story mode of "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" due to the demand for a "Want a full fleshed out single player experience." says DualShockers.
"Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" will also bring back the franchise's beloved mini-game, "Tekken Bowl", which allows players to play a "Tekken" themed bowling tournament with the game's characters.
Bandai Namco, the game's developer, is currently on a North American tour to promote the game, allowing fans to play "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" before it's release. "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution" is currently available for arcade, but it will soon make it's PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC release some time in 2017.
