"Lucifer" Season 2 will have plenty of new faces when it returns on Fox this September. Aside from Tricia Helfer, Aimee Garcia is coming aboard as a brilliant forensic scientist. In a recent interview, the actress dishes on what her character is like. The show is also bringing in Charisma Carpenter as guest.
Speaking candidly to fans, Aimee Garcia says that Ella, her character on "Lucifer" Season 2, has some similarities with Chloe (Lauren German) in that they are both single mothers who are working out troubles in their former marriage. But unlike Chloe, Ella has more confidence and positive vibe around her. Aimee Garcia describes her as fun and playful, but that's not what makes her intriguing to Lucifer (Tom Ellis).
If Lucifer is fascinated by Chloe because she brings out his physical vulnerabilities, he's fascinated by Ella for a different yet personal reason. Ella is a staunch religious who has a strong relationship with "the Big G," as Aimee Garcia said, via Showbiz Junkies. As established in "Lucifer" Season 1, the lead character isn't exactly happy with his own father, and he's wondering why Ella treats God as her "rock star."
"Lucifer doesn't even know what to do with her," the actress shares further and hints that they shot some scenes in "Lucifer" Season 2" that made her feel giddy. Watch her talk about Ella and Lucifer in this video below.
Meanwhile, TV Line reports that Charisma Carpenter will be dropping by "Lucifer" Season 2 as guest. The actress has been cast as an ex-Playmate who is married to a formerly successful action star, and she could be hiding something. Charisma Carpenter shared that she is indeed working on the set of "Lucifer" on her Instagram, with a photo of her and Tom Ellis.
Also recently announced on "Lucifer" Season 2" is the casting of Michael Imperioli as Uriel, the angel and brother to Lucifer and Amenadiel (DB Woodside). The show is based on a DC comic book created by Neil Gaiman and Sam Kieth. The sophomore series will begin the new season on Monday, Sept. 19, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
