According to Steve Kyler, Kings is very active in the trade market today and for sure those following the NBA trade rumors would agree with this. The team is often associated in a trade talk with other NBA teams. Kyler explained that Sacramento is trading out their odd players and is trying to acquire the ones who will help them perform better in the next NBA season.
Kyler explained that Kings is not trading Rudy Gay but the player could be an unrestricted free agent after the 2016-17 season. When Gay hits the free NBA market, several teams are expected to chase the small forward. Gay is skilled and talented to be an offensive asset for a potential NBA contender who wants to win their next NBA title.
Meanwhile, the report notes that the current NBA team, Cleveland Cavaliers is still working on finalizing their roster. Cavs shooting guard J.R. Smith is currently a free agent. In fact, Parent Herald previously reported that Smith and LeBron James are the top players in the free agency.
There are rumors that Boston Celtics will sign J.R. Smith because the Cavs shooting guard will be a great addition to the team especially that Celtic's priority is shooting. However, it seems that there are high chances that we can still see Smith and LeBron James on the same team.
Steve Kyler suggested that chances are high that J.R. Smith will stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs is reportedly making a deal to acquire Smith. Meanwhile, there are rumors that the Cavs will also sign the former Washington Wizard power forward Emeka Okafor when he returns.
