NBA Trade Rumors: D'Angelo Russell Heading To Sacramento Kings; Kevin Love To Lakers And DeMarcus Cousins To Cleveland?

According to NBA trade rumors, Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Lakers and Sacramento Kings are in a three-way trade talk involving Kevin Love, D'Angelo Russell and DeMarcus Cousins. Reports have it that these three players will be playing in another team involved in the trade talk.

Sports Blog suggested that the Cavaliers, Lakers and King trade talk could lead to Kevin Love joining the Los Angeles team, D'Angelo Russell hopping to Kings and DeMarcus Cousins landing to Cleveland. While this trade appears to be unlikely it might be possible.

Reports are rife that Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers are considering on trading Kevin Love and DeMarcus Cousins. Parent Herald previously reported that the Cavs is trading Love for Cousins because he is not the perfect running mate for LeBron James.

The Cleveland Cavaliers - Sacramento Kings trade has now changed with LA Lakers joining the trade. Reports have it that DeMarcus Cousins will still land in Cleveland, Kevin Love to Lakers and D'Angelo Russell to Kings.

This trade could potentially make the Cavs an even stronger contender in the next NBA season. DeMarcus Cousins is younger and more talented than Kevin Love. With Boogie in the Cavs, the team will have a stronger chance of beating the Golden State Warriors.

As for the Lakers, Kevin Love is great at rebound and shooting. However, he is not as athletic as D'Angelo Russell. Love is also not as good as Russell in shooting and is even considered as a declining star. For this reason, we can't say that this trade would be great for Lakers.

On a separate report from Sports Blog, it is unlikely for Lakers to trade for Kevin Love because the team has already Julius Randle, who is younger than Love. Although Love is a spot shooter and rebounder, Randle is the better fit for Lakers. In addition, D'Angelo Russell would make a great tandem for Brandon Ingram instead of Love.

Meanwhile, if this trade will be pursued, Sacramento Kings will be at the disadvantage. Trading DeMarcus Cousins for a much younger D'Angelo Russell is not reasonable, given Boogie's skills. However, Cousins and Kings are no longer hitting each other well, so the team might probably trade the center player before losing him in the free agency.

What do you think of this three-way trade talk between the Cavs, Kings and Lakers? Will Lakers trade D'Angelo Russell when the players have the potential to lead the team to their next NBA title?
