NBA Trade Rumors: LA Lakers Trading Nick Young And Lou Williams To Acquire Rudy Gay?

Rudy Gay is one on the hottest name in the NBA trade rumors this offseason. Reports have it that Gay is asking Sacramento Kings to trade him. New sources suggest that the Kings small forward may land in Los Angeles Lakers in exchange of Nick Young and Lou Williams.

Rudy Gay and Sacramento Kings have been associated with the NBA trade rumors and chances are high that Gay will be wearing another jersey next season. According to SB Nation, Gay personally asked Kings to trade him to other teams.

However, Sean Cunningham debunked those claims saying that despite hearing Rudy Gay's name in the Kings trade talks, the player has never requested to be traded. One thing is certain though, Gay wanted to be happy with his career.

Rudy Gay told ABC10.com that he already talked with Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac about the future changes in his career. At the time, several teams are chasing Gay to add him into their roster and the player is happy about it. "It feels good that people want you, I mean, you've got to take the good out of it," he said.

The latest team to be associated with Rudy Gay is the Los Angeles Lakers. Per Sports Rageous, Lakers want to have Gay on their roster that they are willing to trade their veterans Nick Young and Lou Williams for him.

Many believe that Rudy Gay will be a great addition to Lakers, especially in scoring. LA Lakers have lost their shooting guard Kobe Bryant to retirement and they need a veteran to fill what Bryant left.

Rudy Gay averaged 17.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in the last season. If he continues with his performance, Gay would have no trouble looking for a new team to join in because they will come to him.

Aside from Los Angeles Lakers, Parent Herald previously reported that Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves are also interested in acquiring Rudy Gay. In a separate report, Chicago Bulls also wants to have Gay on their roster.

What do you think, will Rudy Gay sign with the Lakers? If not, in what team do you want to see him in the next NBA season? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
