According to Miami Herald, Beno Udrih has finally agreed to reunite with his former team. On Wednesday, the former Memphis Grizzlies point guard and shooting guard decided to sign a one-year guaranteed deal at the veteran's minimum of $1.4 million with Heat.
One source at Octagon basketball disclosed that Beno Udrih had other standing offers aside from Miami Heat. However, Udrih felt more comfortable with Heat. Erik Spoelstra, head coach of Miami Heat did not assure Udrih of his playing time yet but the coach asked the player to provide veteran leadership.
Per the report, Beno Udrih averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 assists in 16.3 minutes for 32 games. However, he missed the final two months due to a foot injury. Udrih sacrificed $100,000 in his salary to favor Heat and keep the team under the luxury tax threshold.
Meanwhile, Miami Heat is now down to 19 players. According to Inquisitr, to complete their roster, the team is still considering to join the trade to sign Dallas Mavericks Devin Harris or to pursue the free agent Baron Davis who is making a comeback this NBA season.
Hoop Rumors suggest that Miami Heat is interested in getting Devin Harris because the Dallas Mavericks point guard and shooting guard is a low-cost player. Harris averaged 7.6 points and 22 rebounds in 20 minutes of action.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Heat is also considering Baron Davis. The former New York Knicks point guard will soon join other veterans like Ray Allen on the basketball court, who has also decided to continue his NBA career after being on hiatus for two years.
