The action-adventure franchise "Tomb Raider" is celebrating it's 20th year anniversary this 2016, and are giving fans a brand new game to help celebrate. "Rise of The Tomb Raider: The 20 Year Celebration," which is the title of the latest instalment promises to pack in plenty of surprises for gamers, one of them is an all new Zombie mode.
The all new "Tomb Raider" game, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is set in Croft Manor where Lara Croft, the franchise's beloved protagonist, is forced to evict her childhood home. Lara goes on one more tour of the old mansion and uncovers a dark secret hidden deep beneath the manor.
Due to the success of "Zombie modes" in video game titles like "Call of Duty," the new "Tomb Raider" title will also feature one as Lara Croft goes toe to toe with hordes of zombies. According to Gameranx, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will feature two in-game modes, one is the "Blood Ties" mode which incorporates the game's main plot, where Lara Croft searches Croft Manor for her claim to the property. The other mode for players in the new "Tomb Raider" game is the "Nightmare Mode" where Lara must defend Croft Manor against waves of blood thirsty zombies.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" is the follow-up to the series' 2013 reboot "Tomb Raider" which was met with critical acclaim. IGN's Keza McDonald gave "Tomb Raider" a 9.1/10 calling it "well-written, sympathetic, exciting, beautiful and just incredibly well-made." The new "Rise of the Tomb Raider" promises to live up to the gaming standards in terms of storyline and quality of the first reboot.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider: The 20 Year Celebration" will be available for the Playstation 4 on October 11, 2016, while the main game is currently available for the PC and Xbox One.
