In less than a month, "Empire" season 3 will finally be making its television comeback. And if the cliffhanging season 2 finale left many viewers in shock, wait until the revelation of a character's death in the upcoming season of the hit FOX musical series.
In a recent interview with AJ Calloway of Extra TV, "Empire" season 3 actress Taraji P. Henson confirmed that a character of the series will be killed off in the upcoming season. Henson also admitted that the other cast was also shocked upon learning from the script the imminent death of a character.
Unfortunately, Henson didn't reveal who among the cast will be killed off in "Empire" season 3. Instead, Henson urged the fans to wait on Sept. 21, which is the scheduled television premiere of the series.
Meanwhile, Taraji P. Henson was recently nominated in Emmys in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for her "Empire" role as Cookie Lyon. However, the 45-year-old "Empire" season star seemed unhappy for her nomination with her admission that she's not yet ready for such recognition.
In other "Empire" season 3 news, two new characters who will play massive roles are set to be introduced this upcoming season. According to Chatt Sports Net, fans will see Lucious' (Terrence Howard) half-brother and greatest enemy Tariq (Morocco Omari), who's desperate to bring down Lucious by revealing his deepest darkest secrets, and an old Lyons pal Shyne Johnson (Xzibit).
For the "Empire" season 3 guest stars, fans are looking forward for the upcoming appearance of diva Mariah Carey, who will play the role of Cookie's longtime friend Kitty. Kitty will also set to help Jamal (Jussie Smollett) with his personal struggles.
As for the Cookie-Lucious reunion in "Empire" season 3, all the hope weren't lost as The Stopru quoted a dialogue at the end of the series' promo clip, saying that as long as there's still fire in their eyes, everything will work out just fine. So, do you think a reconciliation between Cookie and Lucious is possible? Well, let's just wait and see.
Even though the "Empire" season 3 team is busy for the promotion of the upcoming season of the series, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that series is currently facing a copyright complaint after a judge rejected Fox's motion to dismiss the ex-felon Sophia Eggleton's claims regarding Cookie Lyon's character that was allegedly copied from her memoir, "The Hidden Hand," in 2009.
Despite the copyright lawsuit, Fox is already preparing for "Empire" season 3 premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. on the network. So, who do you think will die in "Empire" season 3? Sound off below and follow Parent Herald for more news and updates.
