'Iron Man 4' and Tony Stark's Death in the MCU Teased to Give Way to 'Iron Heart'

"Iron Man 4" hopefuls continue to clamor for another standalone flick starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Rumors have been discouraging, claiming that RDJ's participation in the MCU is numbered. While unconfirmed talks circulate online, Marvel Studious remain to keep mum about the speculations.

Previous rumors suggested that RDJ will not be doing "Iron Man 4" due to budget constraints. The actor is undeniably the highest-paid actor on MCU's roster, and despite garnering box-office success, rumors are suggesting that execs are not keen on making another big budget movie that focuses on Tony Stark. Apart from RDJ's hefty fees, sources are claiming that he might be too old when the fourth movie starts filming.

In the comic book realm, Tony Stark has already passed the baton to a younger successor. Riri Williams, a 15-year-old genius is said to be the next heroine to don the Iron Man suit. But as Christian Times noted, Stark's successor will go by the name "Iron Heart" moving forward.

This fact raises speculations that RDJ's days as Tony Stark in the MCU could be soon over. A previous report from Chattsportsnet even suggested that Stark might meet his end in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" where he is slated to appear.

Should "Iron Man 4" get green lit, it would most probably not involve RDJ. Not all fans are pleased with the events happening in the comic books, but some have expressed their support for Marvel and the MCU nonetheless.

What do you think of "Iron Man 4?" Do you think it will be as important as the other MCU movies?
