NBA Trade Rumors: Brooklyn Nets To Take Returning Larry Sanders To Form Big Three With Brook Lopez, Jeremy Lin?

Larry Sanders, the former Milwaukee Bucks big man is set to make an NBA comeback, after exiting the league in the 2014-2015 season. Sanders looks to sign with the Brooklyn Nets in his return, and will look to form a decent trio with Brook Lopez and Jeremy Lin.

Larry Sanders' career was short-lived yet impressive, as he was on his way to becoming the franchise cornerstone for the Milwaukee Bucks. Sanders went on to play over five seasons with the Bucks where he made his breakout year in the 2012-2013 season where he averaged 9 points, 9 rebounds and 2.8 blocks, and then was selected for a spot on the Team USA Men's Basketball team, according to Yahoo Sports. Sanders was then offered a $44 million dollar contract extension that would have seen him play for the Bucks until 2020.

Sanders would eventually walk away from the NBA after numerous off-court incidents. During his time with Milwaukee, Sanders was arrested by police, but did not face criminal charges, and was suspended twice for breaking the NBA's anti-doping policy. The Bucks then bought out Sanders' contract after he went on a personal leave of absence in the 2014-2015 season.

While there have been previous rumors of Sanders joining the NBA's elite teams over the summer such as the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Cavaliers 247 Sports, the Brooklyn Nets seems to be team that will offer the 27-year old center a contract. If Sanders does decide that the Brooklyn Nets will be the team he will be playing for in the upcoming season, the athletic big man will make a nice pairing for center Brooklyn's Brook Lopez in the low-post, and with rising star point guard Jeremy Lin, they look to become a formidable "Big 3."

The Brooklyn Nets will begin the 2016-2017 season against the Boston Celtics on October 27.
