The Duggar family sure is always surrounded by controversies, being a large celebrity clan, with strict rules and parenting style. Most recently, Jill Duggar-Dillard posted a photo of her son on Instagram, and immediately received some backlash from fans, over guess what?
Jill Duggar has shared on Instagram a photo of his son, Israel, on the bed, eating a banana while still in his pajamas. She wrote, "Israel #bananasaregood #notsureiwannabeawakerightnow #earlymornings."
Those with malicious mind may instantly think the banana is what makes the photo inappropriate for sharing, but it turned out to be a different issue pinned on Jill and Derick Dillard's parenting style. While some fans commented on how cute Israel is and that he is growing up so fast, others were quick to notice that he is wearing a pajama with prints of the TV show for children, "Paw Patrol." The backlash came from knowing that the Duggar family doesn't allow their kids to watch TV because of evil things there.
So people are questioning why Jill and Derick would even dress their son in a pajama with characters of a show they probably won't even allow him to watch. Ever. Meanwhile, there were fans who defended the couple, saying that you don't really have to watch a show to buy their merchandise. "Paw Patrol" seems to be a popular one and its merchandise would be hard to notice in the department stores.
As it turned out, the pajama was given by Jill's mother-in-law, Cathy Dillard Byrum. She said, "If it matters, I got him the pj's. Saw them & thought they were cute. Can't say I have watched any cartoons in a long time!"
Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard and their son Israel recently returned to the United States after staying in Central America for around a year, doing ministry work. People can catch them on "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" Season 2, which airs every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on TLC.
