Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are reportedly the tag team to watch out for during this 2016-2017 NBA season. According to reports, their team play could lead Golden State Warriors to victory over Cleveland Cavaliers and that this is the fear of LeBron James.
Sportsrageous reported that the Golden State Warriors upgraded its roster as they really want to be this year's champions. As per the upgrade, they were able to acquire Durant in the free agency. Durant is said to be aiming for his first NBA championship title thus another possible factor that will help the Golden State Warriors to win this year's championship game.
Although many teams have improved their rosters during this year's offseason, it is believed that the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers will be the two teams that will face off against each other in the NBA championship after they win in their Western and Eastern Conferences.
Curry recently shared in a statement that it will be a different vibe for the Golden State Warriors as they now have Durant and have six more new guys. He added, "We are who we are, and we're championship contenders going forward."
Cleveland Cavaliers, on the other hand, has not made any major move. They were expected to trade Kevin Love in order to improve their roster and was rumored to be acquiring Nerlens Noel or DeMarcus Cousins. However, there have been no moves and reports involving the Cleveland Cavaliers.
James shared in a statement that Golden State Warriors acquiring Durant is great for the league since the NBA is very competitive.
Game N Guide reported that due to Durant joining Golden State Warriors, it has made Klay Thompson uneasy with the future of his career with the team. Reports are saying that Thompson will be overshadowed with Durant joining the team so he might be traded. One of the teams that will probably acquire Thompson is said to be Denver Nuggets.
