SPOILERS AHEAD- After the release of season 2 Netflix's original drug crime drama "Narcos," early in September, a brand new trailer for season 3 was already released, and the show is also already confirmed for season 4.
At the end of season 2 of "Narcos," we see the fall of the notorious drug lord, Pablo Escobar, at the hands of his enemies after a wild manhunt. But the death of the Columbian kingpin, Escobar, won't mean the end of the acclaimed of the highly praised drama, as a brand new trailer for "Narcos" season 3 was recently revealed on Netflix's Youtube page, featuring another notorious crime lord.
The identity of the new antagonist for "Narcos" season 3 was revealed to be the head of the Cali Cartel, Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela, one of the rival drug cartels of Pablo Escobar's Medellin. The end of season 2 of the series sets up for the takeover of Orejuela's Cali Cartel, which eventually becomes responsible for 90% of the world's cocaine trafficking.
According to "Narcos" producer Jose Padilha, in an interview with Variety, the show will not end with Escobar's death, saying that the series will continue as long as the cocaine drug trade won't stop, adding "We'll stop when you stop. That's our pact with America."
Executive producer of "Narcos," Eric Newman, told Entertainment Weekly, that the show was always about cocaine, and that there is still plenty of stories to be told in Columbia's underground drug world, adding that if people wanted to see another season, they would sit down and write a story drawing from the massive amount of real estate and research they have done on the rich history of the drug trade.
After the reveal for the new season of "Narcos," which will premiere in 2017, and season 4 of the series was also confirmed.
