Jess Weixler was part of "The Good Wife" for only a short period -- one season and a half. As Robyn, the law firm's investigator, she was a well-loved character by the fans. However, she didn't get a proper ending in the original series. Jess Weixler recently revealed in an interview that she's willing to be in "The Good Wife" spinoff if asked to reprise her role.
E! Online caught up with Jess Weixler at the red carpet to talk about "The Good Wife" and its upcoming spinoff. She revealed that her character Robyn was slowly eased off the original show without an explanation because she was already filming a different series at that time. There were conflicts in her schedule, so she couldn't come back to do more scenes in the "The Good Wife."
Still, Jess Weixler said that if given the chance to play Robyn in "The Good Wife" spinoff, she would do it "in a heartbeat." She said that she would love the chance to work with Christine Baranski again. "I hope I have a moment to be on her team."
Robyn was introduced in "The Good Wife" in the fourth season and was eventually phased out in the sixth season. The endearing character looked quite naive but she was also a "smart and creative detective," per Buzzfeed.
Robyn first served Christine Baranski's Diane Lockhart when she came to the show. Then she eventually moved on with Alicia Florrick's law firm, when the latter decided to breakaway from Diane. Hopefully, the producers of "The Good Wife" spinoff will consider bringing Robyn back to work for Diane again.
Meanwhile, production for "The Good Wife" spinoff is expected to begin this fall. The show still doesn't have an official title, but there are already plans for it to debut in the spring of 2017. "The Good Wife" spinoff will be airing on CBS All Access, the streaming service of CBS network.
