‘Final Fantasy XV’ [LATEST UPDATES]: ‘FFXV’ To Become More Linear? New 1080p Screenshots Tease Guns, Rifles And Machinery Weapons

Following the disappointment of fans over the delayed release date of "Final Fantasy XV," Square Enix recently revealed some interesting details about its long overdue JRPG. According to the game's director Hajime Tabata, "FFXV" will commence as an open-world title but its second half will depict more linear elements with an estimated game time of almost 40 to 50 hours.

For more than a decade, "Final Fantasy XV" has been under development but in more than two months, fans will finally experience a more interesting game with over 200 hours of gameplay. Even though "FFXV" release date has been moved to Nov. 29 for both Xbox One and PS4 platforms, Square Enix vowed that the additional waiting time will be worth it as the whole game structure drastically changes for a more interesting and less boring game content, Den of Geek noted.

As Parent Herald previously reported, "Final Fantasy XV" will feature a two-part game structure composed of the open-world component, which will cover only 15 percent of the game's content, and the linear elements. In addition, "FFXV" will also introduce impressive and interesting character designs and photorealistic scale.

Furthermore, Square Enix once again dropped another surprise for "Final Fantasy XV." According to WCCF Tech, a new batch of recently leaked 1080p screenshots revealed some unexpected set of weapons including handguns, rifles and sniper rifles that will enable gamers to fight enemies at a distance.

Some "Final Fantasy XV" screenshots also showed other weapons from "FFVI" such as the Machinery weapons, particularly the circular chainsaw. Speaking of weapons, TechnoBuffalo mentioned the so-called Attract Wave, which can blast enemies from afar through the use of a black hole and pulling them together for a closer-range fight.

Meanwhile, "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata told IGN why the game's release was moved to a much later date. Tabata said that the major reason behind the delay was the reality that some gamers would be playing the game offline, leaving them with no access to the significant update.

In other "Final Fantasy XV"-related news, Square Enix is reportedly unveiling some exciting game details at EGX 2016 in Birmingham expo this Sept. 22 until 25, Digital Spy revealed. The gaming expo, which was the UK's biggest gaming expo, will introduce live "Street Fighter 5" and "Counter Strike: Global Offensive" competitions.
