The Indiana Pacers are pulling out all the stops before the NBA regular season begins, adding two more players to their now-stacked lineup, in the form of perennial big man Kevin Seraphin and rookie guard Nick Zeisloft.
After clawing their way to the 9th playoff seed in the 2015-2016 NBA playoffs, coming off a less than impressive regular season, the Indiana Pacers are looking to come back to their once feared form by adding two more players to their roster by signing French power forward and former New York Knick, Kevin Seraphin and rookie point guard Nick Zeisloft of the Indiana Hoosiers.
The French native, Seraphin, has played 6 seasons in the NBA, five with the Wizards, and 1 with the New York Knicks. His career average totals to 6.1 points and 3.5 rebounds, prior to free agency, according to NBA.com.
As for Zeisloft, the 23 year old was not drafted in the 2016 NBA Draft before the Pacers signed him, played for the Indiana Hoosiers where he averaged 6.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per game, according to PhilStar.
Seraphin will provide decent backup coming off the bench for star centre Al Jefferson, whom the Pacers recently signed, or for up and coming power forward. Myles Turner, who has already made a statement over the past season for the Pacers.
Zeisloft, however, will likely see less playing time as the Indiana Pacers have assembled a loaded backcourt, with former Atlanta Hawks star, Jeff Teague, now taking over at the point guard position with Monta Ellis, Ty Lawson, Aaron Brooks, Rodney Stuckey, and Joseph young as backups, and are players who are capable of playing both point and shooting guard positions.
With a now healthy Paul George leading the way, things can only look brighter for the Indiana Pacers as they get set to welcome a whole new NBA season.
