Aside from the iPhone 7, what made topics in forums and sparked conversations are the Airpods introduced during the launch of iPhone 7 recently. What exactly are Airpods?
Airpods are cord-less headphones that Apple said "can sense when they're in your ears and pause when you take out." You can also tap either of the Airpods to talk to Siri, your assistant, or answer calls. With the Airpods, you won't have a hard time untangling wires just like you used to.
According to the Business Insider report, the chip found in the Airpods is called W1, the "brains" of the headphones. W1 detects if you are just wearing one of the Airpods and alerts your phone.
Unlike any regular headphones, these headphones have to be charged. The magnetic case that comes with the headphones is used to charge the Airpods. The Airpods are not waterproof, though. And although a piece of the Airpods can work without the other one, losing one of the two could cost you money, as you need to buy again, the Business Insider reported. According to Apple, fully charged Aipods can last up to 5 hours on one listening.
Airpods can also work with any iPhone as long as it's running on iOS 10, the update of which will be available on September 13 for free. Surprisingly, you can use it with other gadgets as long as you pair them through Bluetooth. The Airpods can also be used with you Apple Watch and Mac.
Other features of the Airpods are just like any other headphones with cord. Other people say it is now easier to lose. Business Insider claims they found it difficult to adjust the volume and to switch tracks.
The Airpods will be on sale by October for $159, but is sold separately from the iPhone 7. iPhone 7 comes with free wired Earpods.
