New renders showing the HTC Sailfish from all angles have been leaked online, revealing new features while crashing some rumors. It is one of the two variants Google is expected to unveil early next month under its new brand name, Pixel.
The renders, along with a 360-degree video of the HTC Sailfish, was revealed by Android Authority in partnership with Onleaks. Based on the renders, the new Google flagship mobile smartphone will feature a Type-C USB port and dual stereo speakers. The report also confirmed that the device measures 143.8 mm x 69.5 mm x 7.3 mm at its thinnest point (the bottom) while the thickest point (the top) measures 8.5 mm.
The publication has also confirmed that the Nexus successor will have a headphone jack placed on the top left side of the device. This debunks the rumors that Google might also do away with the headphone port following Apple's move.
Parent Herald learned in previous leaks that the upcoming Nexus/Pixel devices will have a full HD display, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 or 821 processor and a 4GB RAM. It also said to be made of metallic frame sandwiched between two sheets of glass. The rear camera is said to be 12 megapixels while the front camera will be 8 megapixels. There will also be a fingerprint scanner placed at the back of the device and a 2770mAH battery. It will run in the latest Android OS, and rumors have it that it will be Android 7.1 Nougat, which is yet to be even announced.
When it comes to prices, it is already expected that Pixel X and Pixel XL, codenamed Sailfish and Marlin, will be a little bit above their predecessors at $449 and $599, respectively. However, new rumors revealed that the Pixel XL could be priced at $649. David Ruddock of Android Police wrote on Twitter, "This one is more hearsay: price point being thrown around for Pixel XL is $649. Not clear if that's 32GB or 128GB."
