Tom Clancy's "The Division" has been widely slammed for its technical glitches, repetitive mission routines, poor end-game content and half-baked PvP mode. But the game's developer, Ubisoft, has announced its plan to get a Public Test Server (PTS) for the game before its massive 1.4 update will be released.
The PTS will be on the Windows PC version of Tom Clancy's "The Division" and it is part of Ubisoft strategic plans to get the game back on track. Through the PTS, Ubisoft also aims for more transparency, especially when it comes to the needed improvements and fixes of the game.
Unfortunately, the latest update from Ubisoft Forums revealed Tom Clancy's "The Division" Public Test Server has been delayed and won't be available on Thursday, Sept. 15, as previously scheduled. As community developer Hamish Bode explained, the PTS postponement decision came after realizing that "The Division" team still needed more time to add the "key elements" that are vital to the game's 1.4 update experience.
Aside from Tom Clancy's "The Division" PTS delay, IGN revealed that the "Special Report" for the game's 1.4 update, which was initially set on Tuesday, Sept. 13, has also been delayed. Although the team needs to delay giving out some details about the content of the massive 1.4 update, Bode said more concrete solutions will be presented on its weekly "State of the Game" post.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft has yet to announce when the exact release of its 1.4 update as well as the game's Public Test Server schedule. However, Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.4 update has promised to improve the end-game experiences and to provide better loot and difficulty scaling, Gaming Bolt noted.
To better improve Tom Clancy's "The Division," Ubisoft has also asked fans for feedback on the game's different gear sets. According to VG24/7, the game developer wanted to know the most and least favored gear sets in the game.
The latest gear sets feedback is also part of Ubisoft's efforts to improve Tom Clancy's "The Division." Meanwhile, the game's 1.4 patch is reportedly set for release in October, which will bring massive changes to the game but due to the major shift, the developer decided to delay the two remaining DLC to concentrate more on fixing the core game.
In other Tom Clancy's "The Division"-related news, the game's upcoming "Survival" DLC will reportedly introduce the game's latest faction called the "Hunters." The said group will be no ordinary team as they will be equipped with heavy armors such as shotgun, snipers and other hi-tech gadgets and weapons, Movie News Guide learned.
