"Sherlock Season 4" by BBC takes Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) into their most twisted run since first co-renting 221-B Baker Street at S1. Thanks to "Sherlock" executive producer-writer Steven Moffat and writer-actor Mark Gatiss (Mycroft), Holmes and John Watson will find themselves backed into an inescapable corner in the BBC series.
OK cites reports that "Sherlock Season 4" kept all the writing load between Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss to flesh out Holmes' new enemy(ies). While Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss distributed Episode 1 and 2 writing between them, the "Sherlock" series writers pooled together for Episode 3 to close off what OK reports to be the most twisted season for Benedict Cumberbatch as Holmes.
Tragedy and horror notwithstanding, the dynamics between Holmes and John Watson will once again be something to watch out for in "Sherlock Season 4." As Movie Pilot points out, Sherlock Holmes was brilliant and lonely until the BBC anti-hero found friendship with John Watson.
Interestingly, Sherlock Holmes is able to appreciate what makes a remarkably good person and friend as he described John Watson in "Sherlock Season 3." Steven Moffat told Collider as much by revealing that despite the evolution of Holmes into a new brand of wisdom, the "Sherlock" star will die alone on his mountain top.
The isolation that Benedict Cumberbatch will reportedly enforce upon his character in "Sherlock Season 4" to foil enemy plans is what will bring the deeper tribulation for his friends John Watson, Mary and Mrs. Hudson (Una Stubbs). Perhaps, too, this is what will make the purported betrayal from Mary Watson of Holmes and John Watson all the more tragic in "Sherlock Season 4" as Parent Herald reports.
BBC is expected to take Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman into their Holmes and John Watson banter in "Sherlock Season 4." What do you think is the biggest twist that "Sherlock Season 4" will reveal?
