We've seen "The Simpsons" stars Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie dressed as "Game of Thrones" characters, aliens, and even famous celebrities. Now you'll see them again in their Season 28's "Adventure Time" crossover. Surely with our favorite family, the fun will never end.
According to International Business Times, the Fox hit animated sitcom "The Simpsons" and the Cartoon Network's hit series "Adventure Time" crossover was the brainchild of "The Simpsons'" supervising director Mike Anderson, who will also direct the episode.
This isn't the first time the Adventure Time characters would guest appear on the show, though. In 2014, a "'Simpsons" version of the 'Adventure Time' cast was featured in an ending clip," the International Business Times reported. In the scene, Finn was portrayed by Bart, Princess Bubblegum by Marge and Ice King by Homer, among others.
Talk about great ideas! "The 'Adventure Time' theme song will become 'Simpsons Time,'" the International Business Times said. It will be sung by Pendleton Ward, the creator of "Adventure Time."
The show's opening credits will be the crossover of the two shows. Even so, it's a must-see for fans of both of the show!
How's that gonna be done? We don't know, but with the past crossovers the bosses behind The Simpsons had done, it's safe to say that we could expect it to be nicely stitched and of course, the whole episode to be filled with humorous punches.
For the past 27 seasons, "The Simpsons" has had guest appearances on different shows, which are commonly called crossovers. One of the crossovers was with the "Futurama."
"The Simpsons" Season 28 will premiere on Sept. 28 on Fox, according to Yahoo. So when asked what time is it, do we say: "It's... The Simpsons Time?"
