"Rosewood" is adding two new cast members for recurring roles in the drama series' sophomore year. Destiny's Child's LeToya Luckett is said to be the new love interest of Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. The other new member is Camille Spirlin.
Fox has confirmed that "Rosewood" Season 2 will welcome LeToya Luckett. She is going to play Tawnya, the new woman in Rosewood's life, according to Deadline. Camille Spirlin will play as Tawnya's daughter, Kayla. She will be openly suspicious about Rosewood's true intention with her mom, but will later know that he is a stand-up guy.
Aside from being part of the former R&B band Destiny's Child, LeToya Luckett, 35, is known for her role in "Ballers," "Treme" and "Single Ladies." She released her solo debut album in 2006 called "LeToya," and her third one is slated for launch later this year. She recently divorced husband Rob Hillman, after just months of being married, but their reasons were kept under wraps.
LeToya Luckett and Camille Spirlin are joining Morris Chestnut (Rosewood), Jaina Lee Ortiz (Detective Annalise Villa), Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, Domenick Lombardozzi, and the other new cast member Eddie Cibrian. According to TVLine, Cibrian will play as Aaron Slade, the new addition in East Miami Police department. He takes over the role from Brian Austin Green, who surprisingly resigned while taping his first episode, saying that the role doesn't fit him. The show also thought so.
Captain Slade is going to bring more complications between Rosewood and Villa. He also has a shady past, which will be explored in "Rosewood" Season 2. "You don't know what you're going to get with him," Cibrian teased of his character via ET. "He can be hot or cold in a second."
"Rosewood" Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8/7c on Fox.
