‘Scorpion’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, Latest Updates: Walter DYING? EP Nick Wootton Hints Exotic Locations, Conflicts, Romance And Near-Death Experiences

Following the shocking revelations in the previous season, "Scorpion" season 3 promises more interesting and emotional episodes as the hit CBS series premieres this October. As a matter of fact, executive producer Nick Wootton has long been teasing about massive character twists, more personal episodes and some hints of romance and conflicts.

Two of the most anticipated happenings in "Scorpion" season 3 have something to do with the romantic affairs in Team Scorpion, especially with Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Walter (Elyes Gable) and Paige's (Katharine McPhee) loveteams. Even though the upcoming season will follow the events after Happy rejected Toby's marriage proposal, Wootton revealed the series will also tackle Walter's looming confession of his feelings to Paige.

In addition, Wootton promised fans that "Scorpion" season 3 will be more relatable as it delved deeper into the relationships and personal lives of the characters. Wootton even hinted major character twists at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con, as per Showbiz Junkies.

What was more surprising in "Scorpion" season 3, however, was the revelation that Walter almost died in one of the episodes. As Parent Herald previously noted, Walter's near death experience ensued when he suffered from hypoxia due to loss if oxygen.

Speaking of Walter, fans will also see how his personal and professional issues will mess up his plans to finally confess his feelings to Paige. Wootton even told Entertainment Weekly that things will go beyond what Walter's "worst expectations could've been."

Another interesting revelations for "Scorpion" season plotlines 3 are Cabe's (Robert Patrick) potential love interest and Ralph's (Riley B. Smith) new role as a translator for a non-speaking boy with autism who was lost in the city. The upcoming season will also feature some exotic locations such as Bulgaria, Ireland, Australia and an outer space trip.

Moreover, "Scorpion" season 3 also hinted more near-death experiences as the lives of Paige and Happy are put on dangerous situations, TVLine reported. Happy's unseen and unidentified husband will also be revealed this season, with McPhee hinting the possibility that viewers might already have an idea who he is.

Meanwhile, "Scorpion" season 3 two-hour premiere with titles, "Civil War" and "More Civil War" will reportedly dwell on the breach of security on U.S. military facilities and electronic infrastructures hence civil war seemed to be an appropriate title. However, Wootton also hinted a civil war among Team Scorpion while they embarked on a trip to Bulgaria in a Valkyrie.

"Scorpion" season 3 is scheduled to air its two-hour premiere episode on Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. on CBS. But starting on Oct. 10, the series will be moved to its new timeslot at 10 p.m. every Monday, as per a previous Parent Herald report.
