"Sherlock Season 4" from the BBC, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Holmes could lead fans to clues hidden in "The Speckled Band" by novelist Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Co-producers and co-writers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss indicated that materials in the Sherlock Holmes canon from author Arthur Conan Doyle are woven into the BBC series as Season 4 would reveal.
The Huffington Post reports that Mark Gatiss, who also plays Mycroft Holmes in the BBC series, promised that "Sherlock Season 4" will soon reveal new clues on the Benedict Cumberbatch led show. The media outlet reminds that Steven Moffat, on the other hand, recommended that fans of the Benedict Cumberbatch series should read "The Speckled Band" to prepare for "Sherlock Season 4."
According to The Huffington Post, however, fans of the Benedict Cumberbatch series may discover that "The Speckled Band" may not have any connection to "Sherlock Season 4." Instead, Steven Moffat may have been planting a red herring with "The Speckled Band" rather than revealing a genuine source of clues for "Sherlock Season 4."
Fans of the BBC series are understandably concerned about what "Sherlock Season 4" will bring as Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat warned that the Benedict Cumberbatch series will have dire things in store. Parent Herald cites Collider that Benedict Cumberbatch himself revealed that "Sherlock Season 4" will be very dark.
For one evil villains will be a dime a dozen in "Sherlock Season 4" with Culverton Smith (Toby Jones) and James Moriarty (Andrew Scott) topping the list. Parent Herald cites reports that "Sherlock Season 4" may reveal if Mary Watson (Amanda Abbington) and James Moriarty are secret allies.
The games are afoot, indeed, and fans of the BBC series will get to reunite with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman (John Watson) come January 2017. Have you yet found any connection between "The Speckled Band" and "Sherlock Season 4?"
