George RR Martin catapulted to fame due to his book, "A Song of Ice and Fire." The success of the book spawned a TV series, "Game of Thrones" and since then the New Mexican author became a celebrity. However, the release date of the sixth book, "The Winds of Winter" remains dim.
Yibada reported that "The Winds of Winter" is coming out in early 2017. However, one should take this report with a grain of salt, as it is still citing that date posted in Amazon France, which Parent Herald reported was already taken down. George RR Martin's publishers debunked those reports, which triggered Amazon France to remove the misleading details.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that the delay of "The Winds of Winter" was due to George RR Martin's lack of concentration. The popular author is busy with his public appearances. He graced Balticon and returned home sick. Just recently, he also attended Worldcon.
George RR Martin was last spotted at the Emmy Awards, where "Game of Thrones" bagged eight awards. There is no doubt that Martin's work of arts is a masterpiece, which only makes more fans yearn for "The Winds of Winter" even more.
In a recent blog, George RR Martin announced that he is back from Emmy with tons of work waiting for him. Martin disclosed that there were tons of before and after parties but the author who just turned 68 years old last week is now more inclined to quieter parties.
