As fans patiently wait for more "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date updates for PS4 and Xbox One, rumors and speculations about the upcoming Square Enix offering to intensify online. No one really knows when the new game will hit stands, but fans already have their predictions.
It has been previously rumored that a 2017 release for "Kingdom Hearts 3" for PS4 and Xbox One could be underway. While waiting for the new title, fans are encouraged to divert their attention to another "Kingdom Hearts" game that is due to be released by December 2016. As series creator and director Tetsuya Nomura previously hinted, there will be a significant connection between KH2.8 and KH3.
There have also been rumors circulating that an episodic release like the "Final Fantasy 7" remake could actually be adopted by KH3. However, a Gamepur report noted that Nomura still has his reservations about doing such a thing as it could dampen the tempo of the plot. Still, the possibility of releasing "Kingdom Hearts 3" for PS4 and Xbox One in several parts is not completely off the table.
Apart from the "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date, fans are also stoked about the possible Marvel and "Star Wars" characters that could soon be part of the game. As of now, some of the confirmed Disney worlds that will make it to the new game include "Frozen," "Big Hero 6," "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph."
Meanwhile, a leaked image of the unseen "Kingdom Hearts" animated series tape has recently surfaced online. This has caused fans to speculate that a new series coinciding with the "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date for PS4 and Xbox One could actually be underway. However, director and writer of the supposed animation series Seth Kearsley clarified that while there has been a clamor for the series, Disney is not interested in making it anytime soon, KH13 noted.
