Sorry, avid "South Park" fans! Due to some airing adjustments, "South Park" season 20 episode 4 won't be premiering this Wednesday night. As a matter of fact, the air date of Comedy Central's hit adult-animated series' upcoming episode has been moved on Oct. 12 instead of its expected Oct. 5 premiere.
Prior to "South Park" 20 episode 4, the previous episode had ignited a police investigation when Cartman mysteriously disappeared on social media. As "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone sharpened their satire, last week's episode depicted the war beginnings in Denmark, the U.S. Presidential election mischief and the Member Berries' comeback.
According to IGN's review, the preceding episode of "South Park" season 20 episode 4 depicted a much better plot continuity compared to the episode titled, "Member Berries." Unfortunately, the publication pointed out that due to Parker and Stone's newfound interest on plot continuity, the episodes of the series' 20th installment started to show "no individual identity."
Despite the mixed reviews on "South Park" season 20, iDigitalTimes suggests the remaining episodes of the series might give Gerald Broflovski a chance for redemption. As the series continues to portray several significant societal issues, Broflovski's oppressive trolling may eventually lead to his downfall but he may also be redeemed.
In other "South Park" season 20-related news, The Columbus Dispatch reports that the series' creators continuously make efforts to hone its satire, which has remained a pop-culture phenomenon after two decades. As a matter of fact, Matt Stone and Trey Parker admit they are trying to figure out something to be incorporated in the series aside from the social crisis and current events.
Meanwhile, there are only seven episodes left for "South Park" season 20 but the series is taking a weeklong break before its episode 4 will premiere. As of late, no information has been revealed as to why Comedy Central decided to postpone the air date of the upcoming episode. In addition, the title, synopsis and its video teaser have yet to be released.
So, why do you think "South Park" season 20 episode 4 is not premiering this Wednesday night? Perhaps, Comedy Central is giving way to the season premiere of CW's "Arrow" and "Frequency" on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
