The leaking of Red Dead Redemption 2 map in April opened trove of rumors about its near comeback. This, along with other facts that sprawled the net--whether official or unofficial--lead fans to dig for more details regarding Rockstar's game.
With the unforeseen leak of "Red Dead Redemption 2" map in NeoGaf as reported by Tech Radar, fans came to speculate about the possible areas to be explored in the game. Ultimately, it lead to a discovery of various locations in Take-Two Interactive's "Mafia 3."
Certain locations like The Old Fort Walls, Roanoke Valley, Kahuta and New Bordeaux were reportedly used in the "Red Dead Redemption 2" map, if the leaked photo is to be believed. Confirming the leakage was a close source to "Red Dead Redemption 2" development team. The alleged source said map is legitimate and shall be used for the new title.
This meant that more details are to be anticipated for the Rockstar title, should the "Red Dead Redemption 2" and "Mafia 3" crossover comes to life. The leaked "Red Dead Redemption 2" photo was also reportedly only a part of a bigger map. It will also be set as a prequel of "Redemption" said the tipper.
Yet, to the fans dismay, no official announcements have been made from either of the game enablers, not even the release date. Their excitement--err, frustration--apparently became more intense that even Rockstar Game's hiring post created a speculation that it could be connected with "Red Dead Redemption 2" release.
Parent Herald previously reported that the rumored release date will be on February 2017. "Red Dead Redemption 2" was allegedly being hold until the launch of Xbox Scorpio and PS4 Pro.
But until then, no one cannot really confirm the veracity of the rising rumors. Last update from Rockstar for "Red Dead Redemption 2" was a poster released early September as the company still keeping things under the wraps.
