In a battle for the ultimate gaming experience, there are only two options for the regular gamer: The Sony PS4 or the Microsoft Xbox One S. Sony and Microsoft are currently the biggest tigers of the gaming industry, and it is no wonder that both companies are becoming heavily competitive just to see who gets the upper hand in gaining the most number of sales.
According to the Daily Star, PS4 console sales rose up by a staggering 380% on the week before largely because of huge discounts and the bundle promos in partnership with EA Sports. Sony had also beat Microsoft because PS4 sales were 55% greater than the sales of Xbox One S this week, so it seems like those huge discounts really paid off.
Meanwhile, on Microsoft's side, they just experienced a 16% drop on their sales, but not to worry, as this was relatively immaterial to the 989% sale surge they experienced the week before. However, this may just be mild as there are bigger things waiting to unfold between the two gaming giants for the rest of the year or next.
Because of this recent turn of events, Microsoft is expected to make a move in response to the FIFA 17-Sony partnership console bundle. Critics have noted that Microsoft may be set to cut prices on the Xbox One S in order to compete better with the PS4, but that may happen longer as the current advertising tactic of Microsoft is the promotion of their military green Xbox One S to promote the game "Battlefield" as well as a red unit to promote "Gears of War 4."
Trusted Reviews says that the PS4 is going to launch on November 10, while Project Scorpio - the latest in Microsoft Xbox, is set to launch on the winter of 2017. The console wars is far from reaching its climax, and we may be looking forward to better deals in the weeks to come.
