A new mobile strategy game called "The Walking Dead: March to War" is currently under development from Disruptor Beam, the team that brought 'Game of Thrones' and 'Star Trek' to the world of smartphone gaming.
"The Walking Dead" is now one of the most watched TV shows in the world today, and already is coming in on its 7th season, along with talk shows and a series of video games about it. Now, Disruptor Beam, the developers of the acclaimed "Game of Thrones Ascent" and "Star Trek Timelines" mobile games based on the popular TV shows, are creating a survival strategy game about the AMC hit, called "The Walking Dead: March to War."
According to "The Walking Dead: March to War" official website, the game is a story-driven multiplayer strategy game that allows players to form alliances and rivalries with other players in the game, in a battle for resources in order to survive, while fending off ravaging hordes of zombies.
While zombies are a key element in "The Walking Dead: March to War" just like the "The Walking Dead" tv show, they won't be the most difficult part of the game. CEO of Distruptor Beam, Jon Radoff, says that the game will have thousands of players on a single map compete with each other in groups for valuable items such as food and ammo, while avoid getting taken out.
Radoff added that the zombies are there as an annoyance for the most part, and players should really look out for the other players on the map who are trying to get their hands on the resources as well, according to a report from Tech Crunch.
"The Walking Dead: March to War" will be available for Android and iOS users and will be launching in 2017. Disruptor Beam already allows players to sign up for the game, via the website for exclusive items.
