Affleck's 'The Accountant' Expected To Outsell Hit Movie 'The Girl On The Train?'

With slow movement in the box office this quarter, murder mystery movie "The Girl on the Train" is set to take a top spot easily. "The Girl on the Train" is a movie adaptation of Paula Hawkin's novel the same name.

"The Girl on the Train" generally got a lot of good reviews and is expected to gross earnings of over $20 million, according to The Wrap. "The Girl on the Train tells the story of Rachel, played by Emily Blunt, who becomes an of the disappearance of her neighbor Megan, played by Haley Bennet.

However, financial action movie "The Accountant" isn't far behind and is another candidate to top the highest spot in box office ratings. The Accountant stars Ben Affleck as a math wizard who engages in criminal activity. In the movie, he is a CPA who has down syndrome but is a genius at math. He secretly works for criminal organizations but eventually got the eye of the U.S. Treasury Department.

"The Accountant" also did have a lot of good reviews that could lead to it going nose to nose for the box office top sport with "The Girl on the Train". In fact, LA Times reported that "The Accountant" could very well gross a total of $25 million in ticket sales alone. This earning, if reached, could easily grant "The Accountant" a top spot in the weekend box office and could easily trump the standing of "The Girl on the Train".

This slow movement in the box office is expected to go on until November when the new Marvel movies start showing beginning with "Doctor Strange". The box office is expected to continue with rapid movement within that month and after following all the superhero (DC and Marvel) movies being shown following Marvel's "Doctor Strange".
