NBA Latest Rumors: Jordan Clarkson Moved To Bench? Los Angeles Lakers Player Determined To Leave Team, Pissed Off By Demotion?

Los Angeles Lakers player Jordan Clarkson was reportedly moved to the bench position and he is not happy with this. Because he feels that the move is a demotion, he is rumored to be leaving Los Angeles Lakers.

Inquisitr reported that although the offseason is through and the matches have begun, Clarkson might be demanding or asking to be traded to another team due to his situation now. Los Angeles Lakers head coach, Luke Walton, reportedly called the move but Clarkson does not approve of the demotion that is why he would rather start fresh in another team than not be able to play for his current team during the 2016-2017 NBA Season.

As for which team would be willing to take Clarkson in, it is rumored that Cleveland Cavaliers of Philadelphia 76ers would be his best options. Cleveland Cavaliers could trade their shooting guard, J.R. Smith, for Clarkson or Philadelphia 76ers could choose between Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel, who have had their fair share of being mentioned in the NBA trading rumors.

Coach Walton reportedly made Clarkson understand that he was not being demoted but it is part of the strategy he wants to strengthen in order to get Los Angeles Lakers back to the top as one of the best contenders for the 2016-2017 NBA season.

Despite the reports that Clarkson is not happy with his new role, Walton slammed the reports saying that the player is embracing the new opportunity given to him and has since been performing well since the pre-season. He added that Clarkson has been very good at his new role so far.

Yibada reported on the other hand that Clarkson feels he was a victim of bias but he will not be leaving the Los Angeles Lakers. Clarkson's performance last season was great as he averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.

Do you think Clarkson should trust Walton regarding his faith in Los Angeles Lakers or should he find another team that would value his skills? Let us know what you think!
