Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Release Date & Price: Bezel-Less Display Likely To Launch On Oct. 25?

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone is expected to be unveiled in Xiaomi's scheduled event in China on Oct. 25. After many rumors, the company is finally launching Mi Note 2 with a top display, with no sensors or front camera on top, giving it a very different look from the current models in the market but no dual-edge display as rumored earlier.

According to NDTV, Xiaomi is hosting an event at China's Peking University Gymnasium on Oct. 25, hosted by Hong Kong-based actor Tony Leung. It is highly expected that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be announced.

Recently, there were leaked photos of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 on Weibo, which show that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will have a very thin bezel on all four sides. The images show the smartphone with a running MIUI OS. The leaked images do not go hand-in-hand with the rumors of a dual-edge display. Although, the images show dual camera setup.

Previously, it was speculated that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be unveiled on Sept. 14, but the fact is it did not happen. However, after CEO Lei Jun said Mi Note 2 will "have a surprise," it put all the rumors to an end by finalizing the launch on Oct. 25.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 specifications: Xiaomi has equipped its upcoming model, Xiaomi Mi Note 2, with a powerful Snapdragon 821 SoC and pack a 3600mAh battery. It's anticipated to sport two speaker grilles at the bottom, and have a fingerprint sensor at the front.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to come in 6GB RAM, 64GB storage costing US$370 (CNY 2,499), and 6GB RAM, 128GB storage bundles will be priced US$415 USD (CNY 2,799). Stay tuned for more updates on Xiaomi smartphones release dates and rumors.
