Is there trouble on the set of "Homeland" Season 6? News has it that there's rift between Mandy Patinkin (Saul Berenson) and F. Murray Abraham (Dar Adal) and it has been causing problems during filming.
Meanwhile, Showtime has released the first teaser to "Homeland" Season 6, which is filled with cut scenes from the previous seasons. But it closes with Claire Danes' character, Carrie Mathison, relocating to New York.
Page Six reports that there has been tension in the set of "Homeland" as two of its senior lead stars are apparently feuding. Sources told the news outlet that F. Murray Abraham was allegedly making unreasonable demands and he doesn't want to speak to Mandy Patinkin. "Abraham goes out of his way to make it known not to place his chair anywhere near Patinkin's," the source revealed.
The two actors are in various scenes together in "Homeland" Season 6 that the production crew are apparently feeling like kindergarten teachers as they try to pacify the situation. But a spokesperson from Showtime also reached out to Page Six to say that the rumors are false. "Mr. Abraham only has praise for Mr. Patinkin. They have been friends for decades. Whoever said this is misguided," the network's spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, Slashfilm reveals that Showtime launched the first teaser to "Homeland" Season 6, which can be watched at the end of this article. The video doesn't give away anything much except to confirm that the show's setting for the new season is staying within America.
"Homeland" Season 6 is going to open with the culmination of the election season. The transition of power between presidents is taking place, but Carrie is no longer working for the CIA. Instead, she's working for a non-profit organization on Muslim affairs.
"Homeland" Season 6 premieres on Showtime on Jan. 15, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. The show has also been renewed for a seventh and eighth seasons last June, Deadline reports.
