One of the most popular manga today is "Tokyo Ghoul." Its dark theme, unique plot and detailed art have been drawing fans since it has been released. The story follows Kaneki Ken as he struggles to be a half-ghoul or half human.
Two seasons of anime has been released, namely "Tokyo Ghoul" and "Tokyo Ghoul√A" due to the popularity of the Manga. New seasons of anime will be released this coming winter 2016 and fans are highly anticipating the "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3.
Parent Herald previously reported that there is still no evidence that there will be a release of a season 3 since the Pierrot Studio, who originally created the anime version of "Tokyo Ghoul," had been taken over by the Madhouse Productions. But it does not stop the fans from speculating.
Fans might assume that the upcoming season might be similar to the Manga "Tokyo Ghoul:re", where Kaneki Ken suffered from amnesia after he battled with the strongest ghoul investigator, Arima. He then became Haise Sasaki, the leader of the "Quinx Squad" and his group is composed of other ghoul investigators who are like Kaneki or Haise who is half ghoul and half human.
There are also speculations that the season 3 of "Tokyo Ghoul" might be darker and gorier than the previous seasons. Since according to Ecumenical news, the Madhouse productions is in charge in creating the "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 and such studio is known for releasing anime shows that have violent and dark themes.
But there still has not been any statements coming from the creators of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 despite the rumors and speculations of fans. There is no confirmation from Ishida Sui and writer Towada Shin regarding the upcoming season as well.
Even though there has not been any official news of the "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3, it does not stop the series from heading downside. They even have a sequence of six short stories named "Tokyo Ghoul: Days" and the focus is on the characters in the Manga and in the anime and will be released under VIZ Signature.
