OPPO's new device, the OPPO R9s Plus has already been benchmarked in AnTuTu, a Chinese software that is usually used to determine the performance of a device. It was revealed that OPPO R9s Plus will be the first smartphone to feature the newest processor produced by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 653 chipset.
OPPO R9s Plus has 510 GPU, 2GHz octa-core CPU, 6 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage. It also contains a MicroSD slot that could store memory up to 128 GB. The Snapdragon 653 enables a faster LTE modem that allows the device to have five times faster upload and download speed. OPPO R9s Plus is also said to have a built-in support for dual-camera system which is installed by ClearSight technology.
Other features include a 6-inch full HD resolution display, 16 MP for the front and rear cameras, which confirmed some rumors that the device would be perfect for taking pictures and videos. The OPPO R9s will have a 2,010 mAh battery that will support OPPO's Super VOOC fast charging technology which enables the device to charge at a 100% in just 15 minutes. The OS that will run the smartphone will be Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
OPPO R9s Plus is the successor of the OPPO R9 Plus, and BGR noted the differences between the two devices. The R9s Plus is slightly larger at 6-inch full HD display than R9 Plus which is at 5.5-inch full HD display. Also, the chipset that was installed is different, R9s Plus' chipset is the latest processor developed by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 653 while the R9 Plus' chipset is the MediaTek's Helio P10 octa-core chipset. The cameras of the R9s Plus are better than its predecessor because both front and rear cameras are at 16 MP, which is ideal when taking selfies and pictures.
The OPPO R9s Plus, along with OPPO R9s were launched on October 19.
